Orientation Programme for First Year Students
Dr. Vipupaksha Devaramane, addressed a gathering of parents, students and staff at Dr. T.M.A Pai polytechnic manipal on Saturday 14/07/2018. He stressed on moral responsibilities of Parents, teachers and Students in the collective development of the society. He also spoke on the importance of Mental health of the Students.
He also emphasized on the point that parents should be constantly communicating with their children and try to understand their problems on a day to day basis. The students were informed about the mental and physical changes they experience during their adolescence; he also gave them various solutions which could help them to overcome those problems.
Sri T Ranga Pai, Accadamic Cordinator; Sri T Narendra Pai, Principal; Sri Prashanth Shetty, Vice Principal along with the staff of Dr. T.M.A Pai polytechnic were present on the occasion.
Drug Awareness Programme
Dr T.M.A Pai Polytechnic, Manipal in association with Manipal Police Station conducted an awareness programme on “Road Safety and Drug addiction” on July 26, 2018.
Mr Sudarshan M, Inspector, Manipal Police Station and his team conducted the programme. The programme created awareness to the students regarding the risks involved in consumption of drugs and on road safety issues. It was followed by an interactive session with the students.
The Program was conducted in two shifts, one in the morning at 10.00 am and the other in the afternoon at 03.00 pm. 500 students participated in the programs.
The Principal, Mr T Narendra Pai; Vice Princiipal Mr Prashanth Shetty P, HODs of various departments and faculty members were present.
The morning session was compered by Mr Kumaraswamy, HOD of Humanities and the afternoon session was compered by Mr Derick Mascarenhas, Lecturer in Dept. of Mechanical Engg.
